VLTJ Vemb-Lemvig-Thyborøn Railway

Relax and enjoy both a historical and cultural trip on the well-known train route between Vemb, Lemvig and Thyborøn. Locally, the train is simply called the VLTJ Vemb-Lemvig-Thyborøn Railway.

The railway became famous when the band Tørfisk had a hit with the cult song VLTJ. The song celebrates the West Jutland landscape and the charming towns that the line passes through.

The Lemvig Railway was founded in 1879, and 20 years later the stretch from Lemvig to Thyborøn opened.

Victoria Street Station

The line has a number of small stations and stops where you can get on and off. Oddly enough, one of the stops has the official name: Victoria Street Station, but it is somewhat smaller than its model in London.
