In the park, there is a beautiful lake, and paths have been established around the area. There is a playground and a picnic shelter, which also has a grill. The picnic shelter has room for 12 people, but in the area there are several places with picnic table-and-bench sets and small shelters.
In the open area, there is a lectern, and every year Skt. Hans is held in the park.
The inauguration took place on 29 May 1932, and the inauguration ceremony gathered about 300 people. The following day, one could read in the local newspapers: - Tistrup is an alert and progressive town, but growth and progress require people to come together around common tasks. Yesterday’s inauguration of the new park in Tistrup is a fine example of such a common task, solved entirely through voluntary effort. The town’s self-confidence has gathered its strength and created a shared asset for the benefit of the present and the future.
