Thorstrup Church

The beautiful Romanesque church with its pyramidal spire belonged for a long period to the manor of Nørholm. Some of the church’s rich furnishings from the Nørholm period are still in the church.

At the top of the spire, which was added in 1774, the Nørholm crane can be seen. The crane also appears at the manor house and on the associated churches in Horne, Tistrup and Ansager, where it serves as a weather vane.

Iron Cross

As Torstrup is the parish in which Nørholm is located, it is natural that several members of the Teilmann family have found their final resting place in the churchyard there. There are now 10 members of the family in the family burial plot. All the graves are (with the exception of one that has a marble cross) adorned with a modest iron cross, all in the same style.
