Skovlund Town Park is located on the edge of town, where the small woodland stretches north. It is not a park that makes a big show of itself, but a place for a short stay: children on the playground, adults at the bench tables and a packed lunch close to the water.
The lake and the open shelter bring the area together and give the park the character of a local everyday living space. There is room here for a quiet stroll, a break after sports or a small pause from the country road.
There is also a clear Skovlund feel to the place. The fire shelter is used for community events such as Sankthans and open-air church services, and pétanque and croquet make the town park more than just greenery between the houses.
