Hvorfor? Kun en kort tur fra kirken: roligt grønt ophold med sø, legeplads og lokale fællesaktiviteter.
Skovlund Church plays with age. It is not one of the area's medieval churches, but it was designed so that it almost could be: whitewashed walls, a red tile roof, an apse to the east and a west tower that gives the building the classic village church silhouette.
Inside, the same idea continues. The altar area takes its design language from the golden Jutlandic altars, and Hans Agersnap's altarpiece shows the Prayer in Gethsemane. The baptismal font is worth pausing at, not least the base with four monster heads, which draws connections to Gotland fonts from the 12th century.
The church is therefore most interesting as a deliberate historical staging: a young church that does not try to look modern.
