A nature area of 2,200 ha, consisting mainly of meadows, wetlands, lakes and the River Skjern. Skjern Meadows is the westernmost part of the Skjern River valley and Denmark’s only river delta.
26 parking areas with beautiful views and tables/benches provide easy access to the area. By bicycle, on horseback and on foot, you can get around the area on the specially laid-out paths. Two suspension bridges and several cable ferries make it possible to cross the river.
The pump station is the largest of the five pump stations from the drainage project in the 1960s, and it is still in operation.

The view from Lønborg Hill by Lønborg Church is one of the major attractions of the Skjern River Valley. It is a good place to start a visit to the area. There is parking as well as tables and benches, and an information board has been set up.

Danmarks længste træ hængebro med et spænd på 55 meter fører over Danmarks vandrigeste å.
Brodæk og rækværk er bygget af gran og lærk resten af egetræ. Der er på stedet fundet rester af en tidligere bro fra 1105 også bygget af egetræ.
Søen genopstod i forbindelse med genopretning af Skjern Å. Her vokser bl.a. den sjældne vandplante vandranke, som blomstrer i juli og august med hvide tæpper af blomster.
Ved Lønborggaard er der et fugletårn med god udsigt hele vejen rundt. Der er også en udstilling der åbner i april samt et madpakkehus.
