Sædden Church near Esbjerg

Sædden Church, built in 1978, is constructed of red, handmade bricks. The church consists of the church room itself, as well as a series of smaller buildings arranged around a foyer and a freestanding bell tower.

The most important part of the church is a square church room with 350 fixed seats. For acoustic reasons, two of the tall exterior walls are softly folded, forming small apses. Skylight shafts illuminate the church room. 803 incandescent bulbs hang down from the ceiling like a starry sky.

Inger Exner and Johannes Exner are the architects of the church.
