The museum's permanent collection consists of 335 works by the sculptor Rudolph Tegner. The museum was designed by Rudolph Tegner himself and is one of the earliest preserved buildings where concrete is used as an aesthetic device.
The small entrance and the large halls with high ceilings give the feeling of stepping into a treasure chamber.
