Since 1921, Esbjerg Municipality has purchased land in the Marbæk area and now owns 900 hectares with many recreational opportunities. The Marbæk area is part of the Wadden Sea National Park and offers fantastic viewpoints, ancient monuments, a nature playground, and accommodation options. The area can be experienced up close all year round by following the many marked nature trails.
The forest in Marbæk extends west all the way to the cliff facing Ho Bay, from where there is a magnificent view over the northern part of the bay.
At Kravnsø, you can stay overnight in a tent or shelter for 1 or 2 nights. Firewood must be brought with you or gathered from the forest floor. Drinking water can be collected at Myrthuegaard, approx. 1 km away. The water from the pump at the site is not suitable as drinking water.
