Lemvig - shopping and cultural environment

Take a stroll through Lemvig’s charming pedestrian streets, surrounded by cosy old houses, market squares and squares. Specialty shops offer fashion clothing and shoes, as well as locally produced foods and specialties.

At the lively harbour, there are various activities throughout the year, such as flea markets, street food and similar events.

Lemvig’s history can be dated back to 1234, when a small town named Lemvig was first mentioned.

Lemvig Church

Bodil Kaalund's decoration of the church in the period 1976-1988 has attracted great attention.

The church has a carillon with 16 bells, which can be heard every day at 08.00, 12.00, 15.00 and 18.00.

Lemvig Museum

Lemvig Museum reflects an exciting region and a market town, known from the comic strip "Livets gang i Lidenlund".

Museum of Religious Art

The Museum of Religious Art is a small museum that often manages to attract excellent exhibitions, primarily of religious art.

On a day-to-day basis, the museum is staffed by volunteers and unpaid people who are dedicated to their voluntary work.
