Jens Bjerg-Thomsen was a hunter and a skilled hunting writer. From the 1930s through to the 1950s, he wrote about the area around Vest Stadil Fjord. His old hunting lodge now houses a small exhibition about the area, featuring black-and-white photos by Bjerg-Thomsen. The lodge is located by the car park on Skelmosevej, which is a good starting point for a visit to Vest Stadil Fjord.
There are tables and benches sheltered from the westerly wind, and to the south there is a birdwatching tower.
