Gulddalslund is a young plantation located 4 km north of Skovlund.
The plantation is situated next to Ålling Sø.
Every even-numbered year, Gulddalslund Plantage welcomes visitors to Forest Day, with plenty of activities for children and adults throughout the forest.
Ålling Lake is protected in order to preserve its natural environment. The lake is privately owned, but you are welcome to walk around it, and there is a nice path. The route passes through varied woodland and is just over 2 km long.
There is abundant birdlife at the lake. Among others, the black-necked grebe has been observed breeding here. The birds can be watched from a bird tower on the eastern side of the lake. If you are lucky, you can experience the “Black Sun” as early as September and as late as January.
