Gallery Galschiøt is the sculptor Jens Galschiøt’s workshop and museum of 2,500 m2, located in an industrial district in Odense. The place is bursting with activity, and in addition to the artist’s workshop, there is also a bronze foundry, gallery shop, art schools, TV studios, sculpture park and a 400 m2 art gallery.
You can walk around the working workshop yourself and see the process of creating the sculptures.
In the 400 m2 exhibition hall, Galschiøt’s larger sculptures and art happenings are presented. There will normally also be a painting exhibition on the walls featuring Danish and international artists.
There are large and smaller sculptures from many of Galschiøt’s art installations, which have been exhibited all over the world. The exhibitions are constantly changing, as the sculptures are loaned out to other exhibitions and new ones are added.
In the gallery, there are sofa areas and tables, so you can enjoy any food you may have brought with you, and you can often get a cup of coffee or a glass of wine from the workshop.
