Felanitx is said to be one of the best-preserved towns in Mallorca. The town is located in the middle of one of the large wine-producing areas and is particularly known for its green capers, which are grown on a large scale.
Town life is primarily centered around the large Plaça Espanya and Plaça de sa Font de Santa Margalida, where there is a wealth of bars and places to eat, while many of the town’s shops are also located in this area.
The inhabitants of Felanitx are a proud people, with a long history behind them as fighting patriots.
The town’s local Sunday market is a major attraction. You can buy fruit and vegetables, plants and flowers, as well as clothing and shoes.
