West Coast Barefoot Park

West Coast Barefoot Park near Outrup is a short nature activity where the shoes stay on the side and the feet do the work. The barefoot trail is approximately 1 km long and designed for both children and adults who want to feel the surface rather than simply walk across it.

Opening hours and payment

In 2026, the season is stated as 1 May-27 September. In May and September, it is open Wednesday-Sunday from 10 am-5 pm, while in June, July and August it is open daily from 10 am-6 pm. Entry is allowed until one hour before closing time, and payment can be made in cash or by card.

The route in bare feet

Along the way, the trail changes between water, gravel, mud, cones and glass. This makes the walk slower than an ordinary stroll, as every step needs to be assessed: soft, wet, crunchy, pointed or simply a little strange. The park invites sensory experiences, balance and motor skills without turning it into an exercise with an instruction-board atmosphere.

Families and breaks

The place is particularly well suited to families with children, but is also used by groups, schools and institutions. There are tables and benches both outdoors and indoors, and you can eat your own food on the terrace or out in the park. Children must be supervised near the watercourses, dogs are not welcome, and bringing your own towel is practical after washing your feet.
